Vibroacoustic response of stiffened thin plates to incident sound

Abstract A model was developed and applied for predicting the vibroacoustic response of stiffened plates excited by different incident sound fields. relationship between Joint Acceptance Function (JAF) modal radiation efficiency is derived. This allows a direct calculation both vibration transmission loss (TL) in presence diffuse field whilst accounting full coupling. The structural configurations, plane versus acoustic excitation modelling approximations are highlighted, so presenting systematic quantification factors influencing response.
